The world is full of interesting questions, opinions and perspectives, such as ‘Can maths be beautiful?’ http://thedayexplorer.co.uk/news/2017/06/can-maths-be-beautiful. Always hungry for a challenge, we used the recent exhibitions of equations, hanging in The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, as a springboard for our own investigations in Early Years and Primary. 'Maths and Art' provided the focus for our annual Maths Day and everyone from creche to Year 6 got involved in exploring the beauty of mathematics.

Children were given the challenge to create a beautiful Maths-themed hat for the day and rose admirably to the challenge. The day was filled with shape, pattern, music, movement, mathematical language and produced some brilliant pieces of art, music and dance.

Enjoy our video slideshow showcasing all our activities both at our Kisongo Campus and the Infant School in Njiro.
