Fun in the kitchen for Year 5

Year 5 had a fantastic time in the food room on Tuesday 21st November in their Design and Technology lesson.

Linked to their topic on India, the children have been learning about making chapatti. Now a popular East African dish, the children were excited to learn that their favourite tasty food originated in India.

It was amazing to see the children have a go at mixing and kneading the dough, taking measurements for their ingredients and working in teams to make the best chapattis. In the end, they were all pleased with their effort, evaluated their chapattis and appreciated the hard work that goes into preparing this lovely dish.
